Rudy Schuller
Tai Chi
Tuesday 11:00am
$3.00 per class
My name is Rudolph (Rudy) Schuller. I was born in Western Pennsylvania, got my B.S. in Geology at Youngstown State and my M.S. in Geology at Wright State University. After graduation, I spent 5 years at the Illinois Geologic Survey followed by 15 years in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh working in environmental consulting. I moved to Charleston in 1996 when I took a position with Columbia Gas in their Charleston Headquarters. I retired from Columbia Gas in 2006.
I started studying Tai Chi in 1991 while in Pittsburgh. While it has always been my primary focus, I have also studied Shoalin Long Kung Fu, Chi Lin Chang Fa Kung Fu, and Ba Gua. I obtained my Black Belt in Kung Fu in 1997.
My primary focus in teaching Tai Chi is in the integration of its physical benefits of balance and flexibility with an understanding of its internal and spiritual components.
